| Technique | Kundan is an ancient technique of setting stones in Jewelry. Each individual uncut or semi-cut stone is placed on the metal which is custom cut to fit that stone. The metal surrounding the stone is scraped and gently lifted then pressed on top of the stone to fix it in place. The technique is very intricate and requires a lot of expertise to get it right and to get the correct amount of glamor and glitter in the stone. In this gorgeous jewel, the rose cut CZs and Kundan (back foil) glass have been set in the original Kundan technique. It is truly a magnificent priceless jewel to own. |
